How to V-Cut Your Hair

If you are unsure about doing this cut yourself, get some help. If you do attempt to do this cut by yourself, then take baby steps. Make small cuts incrementally. I was having a hard time with my camcorder this time, so forgive the cut ins. I also wanted to add, that the reason I repeat myself so many times in my videos is so you 'get the point'. Just got through qualifying for the Special Olympics State Championship in Raleigh in June and he's getting ready to graduate HS. He also already has a job at our local IGA, so he's fantastic! i have a question.. if you have thick AND wavy hair, will this cut make your hair managable? and if your hair is long does this cut make it shorter?

@alienapatricia This cut is perfect for thick and wavy hair. (don't know if it'll make it more manageable though cause I have curly/wavy hair and its always doing its own thing, no matter how I cut it... lol) This cut will give you layers.

If you want an easier technique, look through my more recent videos for an 'easy layered V cut' video. You can do the V style with only one cut. I just learned the technique not too long ago and it rocks! XO Carolyn

@darkhappiness Doing the cut this way would be hard for you since you have long hair that's got wave/curl. I have an easier (one simple cut) method of doing this. Look in my newer videos and you'll see a layered cut - easy V cut video. Try it that way. Its such a better method of doing this cut! Wished I'd known about it when I was working in a busy salon!
