  • Yeah the music was pretty bad. I was thinking of playing my guitar and singing, but I would probalby have been banned from Youtube.

  • Don't really think the photos and music do the place justice. A few nice sunrise and sunset shots in there would help convey more mood. It is a great place however.

  • Thanks for the comment. I agree a few sunset and sunrise shots would have be great.

  • i love that place- but be warned. i saw a guy fall overboard one night we were fishing out the back, and he didn't come up for a while, so, just as a guy was gonna jump in, he came up....dead. his legs had been bitten off by a 18 foot tiger shark... and when i went there yesterday, i hooked a fish that nearly snapped my new overhead reel that was designed to land 5 metre marlin easy! so i pulled it up, and this great white shark, 5 metres long, had taken the bait!!!

  • Hi Gizmooo,

Thanks for the headsup. It must have been pretty creepy seeing the guy pop to the surface.

  • Looks beautiful! Love the caaar!

  • Thanks Anna,

I call the car Van-Go. It's owned by a talented artist who lives on the island.

  • i lived there for 6 months loved the freedom and beaches but the only problem i had was some of the people were ferrels and poeple hooning around in cars my sisters recived mental trama from a group of children that live there but all in all its a nice island but beware of some people and children over there

  • I had my first kiss on this island today :D

  • do you need to have a boat to get there? does every1 in this country has his own boat?

  • very nice island, we have a boat moored over there 100 mtrs from the beach will be sitting down there relaxing for chrissy.

  • i love cooochie! =] stayed at quirky cottages, very quiet litle island with friendly people

  • the island is realy nice, but i think you should take your video of the web. not that its bad, but i think a place like coochie shouldn't be advertised at all, cause then it looses the thing that makes it. something special, protect it!

    cheers mate!

  • can you say where these two incidents took place - My family have been in the same house on Coochie for 70 years my grandfather was an original resident. As a child (now 50) we regularly ran a 300ft fishing net straight off the beach at the boat ramp at night and the biggest thing we ever got were gummy sharks of about 3-4 ft. (great eating)..My grandfather was a game fisherman and never caught nor encountered sharks there but held tiger shark records in Moreton Bay.I have pics of the sharks.
