Custom mechanical auto whammy pedal

So I just finished converting a guitar hero bass drum pedal into an "effects pedal", aka auto-whammy bar. Here is a quick demo of how I pieced it together and how it works.

Also forgot to mention, the motor and gear thingy I just ripped out of an old CD drive and hooked up straight to a 9v without resistors or anything. I also tried it with 4x AA/AAA batteries which was fast enough too but a 9v is so much easier and cheaper. Just hope it doesn't wear down too fast lol.
