Two friends, 40 days and 19000 km of open road ... going from Toronto to Arctic Circle and back on Motorcycle.

  • Best time is August or early September. Heated vest will be handy if it gets cold but it's not necessary. Hope that helps :)

  • if you plan on staying in motels, you only need rain gear & credit card. If you wanna do it "adventure way", bring tent, sleeping bag and other gear. Cruisers are fine as long as you stay on paved roads and if you're going to Fairbanks only, you'll be fine. If you had a dual sport bike, you would be able to get on the side roads and go through the mountain passes but that would be a no go for a cruiser.

  • Looks like a great trip. At 6:26 it seems you had bike problems... I'm currently researching the V-strom 1000 as a possible next bike. Could you tell me what this breakdown was a results of. ( I believe it looked like the clutch)
