The Extended Greek Mod aka XGM is a small basic mod for Rome Total War which aims to give the same unit diversity to the Greeks that vanilla gave to the Romans.

This is my last word on the urban cohort as the last video I did using EB needed some corrections. The urban cohorts were not elites, but they were not mere firemen; the duties of firemen were reserved mostly for the vigiles. They were most likely a well armed police force only employed in important cities and they would never fight in a pitched battle.

My earlier video on urban/praetorian spam.

  • I believe you were trying to mention the battle of leuctra

  • @stingray970 Thanks alot

  • @aceblazer25 Thanks

  • @miguel111093 Make a copy of your RTW folder (in program files/activison OR program files/The Creative Assembly) and name it Extended Greek Mod. It should come with an installer (never played XGM, but I'll assume) and install everything to your XGM folder.

If it just comes with a bunch of files, extract them to the folder, and say YES to everything.

  • @sock1235 Elite? Elite? They were basically just Roman police. They were just good enough to supress riots.

  • Urban cohorts were basically Roman police.

  • @sock1235 They where also the police and fireman ;)

  • @grculturefun, the only thing that can beat a roman army is a Parthian horse archer/cataphract skirmishing army (Battle of Carrhae style) but that tactic in itself is plain annoying.
