  • was it neil innes that did a song called...they came from the sea , been trying to find it for ages...

  • @haileysvomit You're probably thinking of "Them". Lyrics are on Neil's site I'll try to message you a link.

  • Ok, I'm an ignorant American and so I have a question- what's the pound meter on the side for? I mean, I get it, he's a silly Elton John, but "huh??" on the money meter on the side. Is that some new "how much the BBC wastes per second of this idiot program" guage mandated by a vengeful Thatcherite legislative initiative pushed through parlaiment or something?

  • I tink it's (in part) a reference to the digit counters in the pinball wizard scene in the movie Tommy. And if you look again, you'll see that the "pounds" increment after only 24 "pence", so it's really counting PAL video frames.

  • England's finest and certainly most underrated singer/songwriter. I can't remember Neil doing a bad song.

  • Love the "glasses".

  • Love the outfit and song. Countdown to when lady gaga rips it off 3, 2,1 .....

  • wonderful, a wonderment and so Neil. Love you Man. Why don't you tour in Dublin. We'd all love to see you. :)

  • I love Neil so much! This has to be one of the best songs ever! I love him! <3

  • Elton John said the Bonzo Dog Band was a big influence on him. Well, how bout that?

  • it nice to hear a song that doesnt have a second meaning something that you can just listen to and not have to figure it out. Its relaxing somewhat

  • Funny, but I can hear almost as much "Brooklyn Owes the Charmer" in this as "Border Song". Not that Innes was afraid to wrestle two genres at once.

  • this is such a great song. both musically and in the lyrics. The costume is also 'different' XD i want those glasses!
