@helterskelter1 too much hassle to carry a full brass section around now,Wicks can do it on keyboard now anyway..
-
@TheBeatlesfan1964 I'd like them.

@helterskelter1 he could, but its so much easier to use a keyboard now. keyboards back then didn't have many sounds and weren't as good as today, so you had to use a live band. the problem is bands are complex- every instrument is in a different key, so writing sheet music for them and figuring out all the details of how they should play is hard. Plus you have to pay them which eats at profits as hiring orchestras/bands was expensive back then as produce George martin mentioned many times.

concert for bangladesh -george harrison and friends. 1971. i think was the pre-cursor for charity concerts. even geldof pays tribute to this.

Why can't Paul play with real brass today?

linda Macca...best chick-mullet ever

The last stop for Wings. Paul gets busted with pot heading into Japan after this and the band vanishes from the face of the Earth.

I was at this gig when I was a very excited 15 year old. "Hammersmith Odeon" was such a great venue to see such a legend! I have been trying for years to get a copy of the album but I can't find one anywhere. Any suggestions?
Wonderful!
I was 15 in hospital just being diagnosed diabetic when I 1st saw this around 1979/80 - it made me want to carry on because I loved the music so much.
It's had a similar effect on me now that I'm 43 and jaded, still diabetic & injecting myself 5 times a day but still loving music.
As Jim Morrison said
'For the music is your special friend
Dance on fire as it intends
Music is your only friend
Until the end.'
Amen Brother.
