This instrumental group from the 1960's is virtually unheard of on today's audio formats and broadcasts, also has a similar sound style to "Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass" on A&M Records label.
Transferred to digital using stereo system on channel background photo.
When I was a kid I had their Christmas Album, very good! It made the holidays unforgettable for many years.

This is a small studio band that Crown records created to record several albums to capitalize on the "Tijuana Brass", beginning in 1965 (as virtually every "bargain" LP label did). The idea was to feature one or two "covers" of popular Tijuana Brass sides, then pad each album with "soundalike" arrangements of public domain tunes {i.e. "Washington Post March"}. "The Mexicali Brass" sounded a lot more like Alpert's group [and obviously had more enthusiasm] than other "cheap" cover bands did...

They did not sound to bad on these renditions, I have Herb Alpert's versions of these also, but many are already posted by others, and that is another reason why I posted this groups take on them...Friends, Lloyd.
