@ThrasherMasher Thanks! i'm on the fence between EMG 81/85 or Seymour Duncan blackouts. Both are awesome, i like the tones of the blackouts more, but if i want to sound like the bands im covering, EMG is what they use.

@blackblurable I'm actually dropped tuned a whole step. I didn't feel like tuning to standard with the Floyd rose and all and my gauge of strings probably wouldn't be able to handle it.

@blackblurable The process of writing riffs is long. I just try to learn as much material from as many different players as possible. That way there will be those little quarks that interest you most about certain riffs that will fuse together eventually becoming your own sound. I have been playing for about 8 years now.
