@Ezldor Thanks for your & all the other good folks comments on my video. I would like to reiterate that I do not endorse the TOGAF approach as a framework to uncover a business' requirements. After more than 30 years researching techniques and approaches to close the gap between information technology and business, I felt it expedient to put my thoughts on video. Alas 5 minutes of youtube time is not nearly enough to fully explain myself.

@TheChazr its not you, this is just not my field, an ad agency asked me to make a report about Togaf which they are marketing

@Ezldor Thanks for your response. I appreciate your confusion..Imho most frameworks are too convoluted to deliver their claims & advertising is one way of 'papering over the cracks'. Perhaps a good starting point for you is to use the wikipedia for more information. Imho the TOGAF 8.1.1 ADM diagram shows multiple feeds into the requirement deliverable but no example of a deliverable. I think TOGAF does not promote any formalised deliverable. Perhaps I am wrong. Caveat emptor perhaps?.

@TheChazr what i was able to do is define TOGAF: is a framework for translating business vision and strategy into effective enterprise change by creating, communicating and improving the key requirements, principles and models that describe the enterprise's future state and enable its evolution. This provides a comprehensive approach for designing, planning, implementation, and governance of complex systems.
me having a masters degree in linguistics have no idea why am working for an ad agency..

@Ezldor I see nothing fundamentally wrong with what you have written (c/f the wording on the Wiki page). A pity the framework does not fully deliver this!. Govt agencies (tax payers money) & big businesses (share holder profits) can possibly afford 9 months of consultancy time trying to deliver the 'promise'. I doubt that SMEs can afford such luxuries (that is. If the marketing push is to attract SMEs to the framework). Gee I would have liked to have used your words on my Ripose page..
