You quoted the Defense Force Act not I as some type of cover all by disparging Menzies in 1939. And the Defense Force Act you quoted covered the Milita only not the Second Australian Imperial Forces nor the RAAF or the Royal Australian Navy. The Milita was deployed into PNG in 1942 Not 1939 Flaggie as Japan was not at War at the time. We as a Commonwealth Country and Govt declared War on the AXIS under the Australian Govt. Now you have to back track on your statements and posting as you got caught in a lie

@Sipatbana Didn't you know Flaggie that the Militia didn't come about because of Sir Robert Menzies. That since 1911 Militia was formed by Citizens in Australia and was a seperate identity to that of the Regular Military and defense force which then only consisted of the Army and Navy. And this history also included when the State were Colonies prior to 1901. That Reserves and Milita Units formed in each Colony of Australia.

I never said that they were the same. Menzies created the 2nd Imperial Force because the militias were already in existence. We needed a force that could go overseas. This isn't rocket science young fella, just history.
