Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is an anxiety disorder that can develop after an individual has experienced or witnessed a major trauma. There are many different types of symptoms that someone can have after a trauma, but PTSD symptoms fall into 3 categories:
1. Reliving or re-experiencing the trauma
2. Attempts to avoid thoughts, situations, or people that are reminders of the trauma
3. Increased anxiety or arousal, including being constantly on guard for danger, and being easily startled

@Stamolka1986 can you share your experiences with me?
I witnessed my parents fight a lot, when they were fighting I was crying, I felt helpless, I was 5.
Now, when I witness loved ones fight I almost always cry...and sometimes I get very angry at myself for not doing nothing.
My brother is even worst.

I've been diagnosed with PTSD since I was 16, but experienced symptoms of it when I was 8/9 when I first witnessed a lot of horrible things.
