  • Varanasi (Benarasi) brocades are the finest brocade silks in the world. This has been the center of silk textile weaving for > thousand years. Google or Wikipedia it. Visit the U.P. Study India. All roads of knowledge lead to the same conclusion: Varansi brocades have been the royal and bridal choice for hundreds of years for very good reason. If you don't know this - it isn't because they're not the best, it's because you don't know much of anything about handwoven silk.

  • did u eat word "like"?

  • 6,000 rupees is way too much for a benares silk saree, it is not pure silk, it has polyester woven into it. all those sarees should not be charged more 1,500 rupees

  • your videos are very culturally educating, thanks for adding them to the group!

  • rightly said, that silk saree may cost only 1000 rupees...Actually, in India, Kanchipuram in southern state of Tamil nadu is famous for the silk sarees and mostly worn during weddings all over India.

  • hope you didnt buy one cause he was over charging

  • Beautiful silk! I've been wanting to go to India, you are very lucky to be in such a cultural and wondrous land.
