BY REQUEST! The title track from the incredlble multi-talented Asia frontman John Wetton's absolutely fantastic solo album "Battle Lines" (Highly Recommend!) ENJOY!
By the way.. Personally, my favorite songs from this album were "You're Not the Only One" and ""Hold Me Now"! Both are already posted on the tube so I didn't bother but you need to check them out as I feel these are two of rhe best songs John Wetton has EVER done!

  • @U859TT Side note: Angus Cameron was played by a fellow musician of John's, Fish aka Derek Dick

These battle lines have nothing to do with battle :-)-) It's about returning to yourself when you are fed up with life as it is presented to you and that you accepted as 'your' life.

  • Gifted artist, poet... super incredible musician.

  • Crimson,Heep,Family,Roxy,Asia... what more can you say about him?!

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • I first heard this in the film "Chasing the Deer" about the Jacobite rebellion in Scotland, and although the song was not written for the movie it completmented it perfectly. As an ex soldier I still resonate with the lyrics of what awaits behind the battle lines.

  • Ok here John is involved with a melodic pop tune, which is his typical "trademark" within his recent solo albums...but in my opinion He expressed his talent in a better way in the seventies, playing and singing along with famous prog bands like UK (think of "Night After Night" or "Danger Money"), regardless his best songs performed with King Crimson (think of "Red"); anyway inside his recent easy ballads, John (by singing emotionally) has demonstrated to be so sensible (think of "Emma")

  • @semanray I'm 40, I like them both .... But it's his age, probably - your dad's from the 70s ... It's an emotional attachment, as Greg Lake (with ELP) ruled the 70s. I've not met a man anywhere 8+ years older than me who will acknowledge John Wetton is a better singer! That's just the way it goes ... This is an awesome song.

  • Enfin un Homme qui chante , c'est rare dans le monde du Rock, il joue de la Basse, mais sa vous le savez déjà.

  • el mejor cantante de rock sinfonico
