Every year they have games like those two against the cubs. Remember the Braves game last year in september when the braves beat em in the ninth? I thought they were done after that but then look what happened!

Uh...no. Rose ranks behind Ryan Howard as well as Allen, Utley will be in the Hall of Fame. I'd also go with Rollins over Bowa although he doesn't get on base enough.

I'd glad the video picks Ashburn--people don't realize how great he was.

@ronin241703, I havn't noticed any teams planning around Howard lately. In fact, Larussa was doing just the opposite and pitching around Pence in the 3 hole just to get to Howard in the playoffs and it payed off. Not saying Howard stinks but for 20 million a year, as much as Halladay makes, he's tanked badly in the playoffs the last 3 years.

@EastCoastDude99 I respect your opinion but I have to side with Howard. He can have a bigger impact on a game. Rose will get on base and maybe knock in a run, maybe even score if someone behind him get a extra base hit. Howard is as likely to be responsible for more runs in a single game then Rose is for an series. Opposing teams plan around Howard, not Rose.

FYI Pete Rose was the only person I have ever paid to get their autograph.

@ronin241703, numbers arn't everything. If that was the case Adam Dunn should be making 20 million dollars a year. Howard gets his numbers in bunches then comes up short in the most important part of the season. He broke a WS record for striking out against the yanks, 13 times, and it was only a 6 game series. He tied an NLCS records for strikeouts against the Giants last year (12) And after game one against the cardinals, he tanked as usual. Schmidt and Carlton dont get a ring without Rose.
