Leatherface Costume Texas Chainsaw Massacre

My leatherface costume for this year. My family (especially me) take this holdiay very seriously and we have a great display at our place. We got an electric chair, guillotine, blood fountain, coffin, you name it. We also get over 1000 trick or treaters a year. If you live in Brooklyn come on over and see us (and me) in action.

I'm only 17 and have had more hours of use using a chainsaw than most adults. For the purpose of I use it for an actual spring job, and a haunt I work at called Frightworld. we are number 3 in the country and for a good reason. I dig your outfit too. I make my costume, which is pretty much an apron, black jeans, boots, and my chainsaw. I also wear a 2003 remake mask, and the HERO mask from The Beginning that my makeup guy and I made. Seriously though, take the chain off. Just friendly advice:)))

@PuertoRicanBoi127 The chain is off. I might be stupid enough to dress up as Leatherface and run around in my backyard, making a jackass of myself, but I'm not stupid enough to leave the chain on lol. Glad to hear somebody else our age enjoys this stuff.

you need to put bar oil in it or take the chain brake off or both cause you really shouldnt do that its bad for it

@beaves235 well i put bar oil in to be safe, but i didnt think (or even know how) to take the chain brake off. in either case its been dead for almost a year (which means next halloween is coming >:D ) and we dont need it for anything else. we just decided to rent a high quailty chainsaw for halloween last year, and it was so much better. started on one pull everytime, it was loud as hell etc. thansk for the suggestion though

@megamagnum10 nope. brooklyn, ny. there is ebay of course, but im surprised. all i did was buy the stock mask and add black makeup around the eyes and mouth. do they not make this one anymore?

@CaptainKill1124 Yeah man, ever since I was a kid I've loved halloween. Now I get paid actual money to chase thousands of people with a chainsaw all through the month of october. it's amazing man. Best job in the world. And it's the closest thing to being an actual chainsaw wielding thomas hewitt without being an actual killer, hahaha lol

Take your chain off, it's unsafe especially around kids. Once the chain is off bar/chain oil is unneeded. All u need is regular gas oil mix. Chain breaks are easy to take off. Unscrew your bar nuts, take the face plates off on both sides. Unscrew the side plates on your pull start side. And you should be able to pull it off from there. And also before use, let it idle for about 10-15 min. It warms it up to start it 1 pull every time. I know... I have the same Poulan except I put a 18" bar on.
