My dear Friend: I know, this is not the best version of Astral
Dance. Have you realised, this is a live recording from a 60 minutes
concert, wich I played by heart? I would like to hear YOUR version under
these circumstances!
I hope you spend more time on the instrument than commenting YouTube-Videos.

I'm working on this piece right now and this video has definitely helped me as a reference. Thank you and great job!

Good work! I think if you play with all the mallets lower you would be able to get more speed and more accuracy. This piece is for us a Tour de force!!! And perhaps with mallets double- tone (or something like that), like this you could make a bigger difference between the primary and secondary voices. I will work on my version and will upload it soon

I'm really sorry that people are giving you a hard time on here. I have also played an hour (or so) long marimba recital from heart and I know it is NOT easy! It took almost a year of preparation. I really enjoyed your performance, keep it up and thanks for sharing this with us!

hey man i really enjoyed this. not to offend or anything but maybe using mediums as apposed to hards would have decreased the harshness of the recording. great jub though! what kind of marimba are you playing on and what brand mallets?

Wow, those people are still as stones, haha

fabulous job!
Thanks for your comment! My idea was to use mallets that are sounding good in the church and not for the recording. But you're right, softer mallets would have been better for the recording. I was playing the B4 Mallets from the "Pascal Pons-Series" from Cadeson made bei Resta-Percussions. This is a special serie from my former teacher.
