Clarice is 21, HIV+ and the mother of a 1 1/2 year old baby who is also HIV+. They live in the slum, Kibera, in Kenya on less that $1 per day. Because she has HIV/AIDS, she is unable to get a job in the public sector (because they test for the virus) and therefore she must seek out subsistence opportunities.
Why is there still so much poverty when there is so much wealth in this world?

fuck africa. The land itself has no natural resource to support he population. it's not their fault. they live in the land cursed by God. God hate them. which is why their skin is black. The only salvation is to die and stop population.

The reasons why HIV has spread so rapidly throughout parts of Africa are complex. Entrenched cultural norms, political instability, an absence of health education resources, and the economic need of women to resort to prostitution to survive all come into play. Until women have opportunities to obtain schooling and status other than as the bearer of children the problem is likely to worsen.
