I'm an auxiliarist, so I don't stay there. But the active guys do 48 hours on 48 hours off, so during the 48 hours that they're on, they sleep at the station.

Yes, they do. Safe boats are very high quality and some of the most well manufactured that I've been on.

The only downfall I hear about them is the seating. Under way in high seas I heard they tear up your back.

Yeah I do wish that they would have made the back seats the same as the front. The front seats are usually pretty comfortable and they absorb a lot of the impact of the larger waves. But, the rear seats make for a much bumpier ride. =)
