The UL260i Flies in a Zenth 650, Feb. 7th. 2009. The engine is performing well and as you can see by the video it has good power for short takeoffs. We are refiining the package over the next few weeks and collecting flight performance data. Data collecting is made easy with the black box feature of the Stratomaster Odyssey. Check our progress at flywithgus.net.
Seems like there was a bit of a struggle to get off the ground, or maybe I'm just seeing things?

I hear that Zenith Aircraft is developing a brand new Firewall Forward package for the UL Power engine for the Zodiac 601 / 650 line. I'm anxious to see this.

This engine/prop combo seem to doing a great job getting that 650 motivated. I see your name everywhere in relation to Zenith Aircraft and also see you appear in the WW corvair pages. Since you have started importing this engine since then I am curious about the torque curve of this engine. Why else would you import a 90HP engine :) I sent you an email a few weeks ago about getting more info about this engine. Not hear back yet.

Great landing. Terrible takeoff.

Over rotated a bit and hit the tail on the ground. Was that a simulated short-field takeoff?

How is that engine performing in the 650, we are building a 650 and have been looking at that engine after we saw it at Sebring. You are in the Orlando right, I wonder if we could come out and see the plane some time?
