sounds good and while gas is cheap it won't be a problem. how are the repair bills? i've heard they can get steep. but i don't know if that is going with an audi dealer or any old garage.

Don't worry about the gas milage man. My 2000 4.2 gets 23-25mpg taking it easy, closer to 20mpg if I hammer on it all day. This is about the same as my old 2000 Volvo s70 which only had a 2.4 liter. The A8 is super light for it's size because it's frame and suspention are almost entirely aluminium. A friend of mine has a 2004 A6 Allroad with a 2.7 turbo and he only gets about 16-19mpg. Plus I only paid $10,000 for the A8 he paid almost $35,000 for the Allroad.

my brother has the older one, 99 reg. not half as nice as the newer one but still an awesome fuckin car. metallic silver with a touch of blue. got it with northern(irish) plates for less than 3000euro. with irish vrt and a years tax, the car is standing him less than 9000 quid and in mint condition. a far cry off the 90 or 100,000euro price tag new. sweet as fuck.
