This is a song that we've often taught children during Vacation Bible School, which actually goes back to pre-civil war era slave spirituals. Today we sing in hopes of heaven and freedom from the physical body rather than in relation to physical slavery.

Great song. I have never heard if before though. I have my Kiwaya sitting on the table in front of me. I'm wondering if I should use it next.
