For instant, I was on the public bus. There was a guy next to me. He asked me if I knew sign. I nodded. He started to talk about his problem with the bank. What kind of conversion is that? I don't even know this person! I don't share personal information with strangers.

And... It does make me feel uncomfortable when someone just put me on a spot. Whenever they saw me wearing hearing aids, they would ask me if I know sign language. I nodded and they get excited. Some of the conversions were misleading.

I know what you're trying to prove. It seems that we're placed into a hearing university. I dislike how anybody would assume that you're hearing and start talking to you. I was like.... "Whoa.. I didn't have my full attention on you. I am hard of hearing? What are you trying to ask?" Sometimes, they just turn around and don't want to deal with the "communication barrier." Many of us had to deal with that. I am more comfortable to make friends with people who knows sign language cuz it's easier.

it never happened to me before but yeah, when you're 40 and deaf... you get really lonely but that lady was desperate.

I agree with you, deaf way tendency do that.. I really uncomfortable. But I have be nice to them just short time and I have to going another planning. XD
