@wheleerz I saw it right now for the first time and I also really really loved it, although I got that he was the mother instantly so that wasn't really a shocker for me at the end there, this Norman character was clearly schizo and the mother character was so contradicting from scene to scene so I can't see how anyone can be shocked to find out he was her, maybe noone was and I'm just acting elitist by assuming that, well well, great movie.

Unfortunately for Perkins, this WAS the role he was born to play. He fit the part so well that casting people didn't give Perkins a chance to play anything else. It's a great film, and his performance was dead on. I also would have liked to see more about her story, but it's still a wonderful video.
