  • will never forget the daily drive to work through the rolling hills near rotherham, you never knew what you would see burnt out in the field- one day a gte, the next an xr3i and sometimes a cossy. oh i dont miss that....

  • Every single person without exception who I knew with one of these had it nicked and written off. Not surprising though - went like shit off a shovel and could be started almost as easily with a screwdriver as with the key.

  • In the late 80's I was in my mid 20s and worked for a Local Authority. Through work I was able to lease an 8V GTE for £89 a month - fully insured! Best Value car I have ever had!

  • I had a brand new 16v when they first come out...went like shit of a stick they did ...reg G301 GUJ ..where are you now ???

  • @foxladdesign interesting, I didn't know the Cosworth engine was fited either.

  • I had two of these things...the 16v ones. Amazing cars, wish I had one now.
