Testing of the Nikon D5100 video mode by filming green plants and other nonsense stuff in the apartment. The indoor light was quite low, thus iso may be in the order of 500-1000.
At least, enjoy the music which is far superior: Mordi - Liljedahl is God
Nikon D5100 video settings:
30 fps high quality
Kit lens 18-55mm
No Vibration Reduction - most of the time using a tripod
Manual focus
Fixed aperture, fully open, 3.5
Fixed exposure for each clip (AE lock) - I have tried to compensate for a slightly brighter image than the auto setting.
White balance: Cloudy
Neutral Picture profile NL with the adjustments:
sharpness 4
contrast -2
brightness +1
sat 0
hue 0
Editing was done in Powerdirector 8, with no change of picture or colors.
Producing at 5000mbps AVC 720p 30fps
@atisas2 It has a high quality sensor, and can produce high quality pictures, especially when using RAW. The lens quality is important though - the 18-55 mm kit lens is ok but squeezed manual focus. Video quality is high, but requires some tweaking from the defaults settings. Configuration is a little tricky. In video mode only aperture is manual - see last comment. I prefer manual focus and fixed exposure during video.

@Kristianpont
Im going to buy this camera, can you tell me is it good for proffesional beautiful pictures and for good videos with manual focus. In "M" can u change all - time, F, iso

@atisas2 The iso adjusts automatically. I was using manual aperture. At 30 fps the minimum shutter speed is about 1/50. To my understanding when lowering the light it will keep an iso of 100 until the shutter speed reaches 1/50, then iso will increase.
