Whether it was an unfortunate slip of the tongue or pure malice, Dermot O'Leary told Katie Waissel "Good Luck C**t" live on air on Sunday the 31st of October 2010.

With a bit of an attitude, a strange fashion sense, bungled first audition, a full on breakdown at Cheryl's house and an elusive sex tape (most likely a rumour spread about by Katie herself for publicity) she's become a contestant of controversy in this years series and of all the people that Dermot would call a c*** she makes the most sense.

A flatmate with a keen ear for crude remarks made the find where others didn't bat an eye, several replays later and a quick phone vid we were sure and had it on facebook within minutes. By request we've made an edited version just to show that he clearly does say "Good Luck C**t"

Disclaimer: Dermot is a very respectable host and I'm sure he'd never say such a thing with intent. He most likely meant to say 'Good luck hun' and his subconscious got the better of him...

  • Fun fact for everyone:

While "Cunt" is considered the most offensive word in our language it actually stems from the latin for Triangle or Wedge (cuneus).

Vagina on the other hand stems from the Latin for Scabbard or Sheath (vagĭna).

I know which one I'd find more offensive if I had a Twat.. (From Norse for 'Gash')

  • @Shmyea At first I didn't believe you, then I thought "Wait... his name is Dermot... O'Leary? *facepalm*"

  • lmffaooooo

  • @Shmyea Well that's just racist... And I'm not even bothered anymore ¬_¬

  • @jnrmluver You need to reread my comments. I clearly stated that he's originally from Ireland but was brought up in Essex.

As for this being 'mean' I think Dermot would disagree. A couple of days following this video his official twitter feed read 'Going to a charity event today, must remember not to call anyone 'hun'!'

So if Dermot himself can find the sense of humour in this video I'm sure you can too... Unless you're part German...

  • @Shmyea He's not from Essex. Look at wikipedia... "Irish, from county Waterford" ¬_¬ And more people don't pronounce their T's than people from Essex anyway! If you cut it like that, then yeah, it'll sound like cunt, but if you play the whole thing through, you'll hear what he actually said. And it's not about having a sense of humour and imagination, it's about looking for flaws in someone/something for the fun of it, and that's just mean :/

  • @Shmyea no he's not! He's from Colchester! His parents are Irish he's not.

  • good luck HUN

  • did he say good luck cum??
