    Video notes:

2 basic building blocks to stories - it's not like what you learn in high school composition class -

    1. the anecdote/sequence of actions; a story in its purest form; with a bit of bait - raise Qs from the beginning; if you raise one, it's implied you're going to answer, along the way; keeps people interested.

    2. the moment of reflection; what it all means. Don't omit this.

You need to get both, for it to come together - and be larger than the sum of its parts

PS My comment in NO way supports censorship. In fact, I think such juvenile, unimaginative comments as hers&overly dramatic extremist remarks as "Can you spell Gestapo?" should stay (the system stores deleted&hidden ones too). It's especially beneficial to future employers who pay a tiny bit to get intensive records of our behaviours behind usernames-or did you think anonymity exists online? Having had the duty of hiring&firing I assure you it does not. PPS TAL's a WBEZ&PRI production not PBS.

Your rant is a bit irrelevant here as no one removed the comment. YouTube's comment system automatically hides spam&down-voted comments-all the free iPads&get rich quick mess-but PRI hasn't removed anything nor has YouTube-I can still see it right there calling him PMS-laden, saying he's trying to sound "homosexual" as if what one does with their genitalia has ANYthing to do with their voice (I guess she thinks the same of Watsky, also born of a Jewish father, liberal&possessing a lisp).

The censored comments are much better story than the uncensored ones.

I think it is unfair to remove the comment that this was in response to because they received too many negative votes and then leave the response up anyway. Makes no sense, but censorship never does. Whats with this removing unoffensive comments because they are unpopular. Can you spell Gestapo? I see anti gay/faggot remarks left on Youtube for years, but Ira Glass needs protecting through censorship.

I'm gay and I couldn't agree more with your comment:

"He (apparently) tries to sound like a homosexual even though he is (apparently) not one."

If you like it you can just like it. You don't need to comment or try to convince others to like it! Go watch something else you like instead! Our tax dollars subsidize very nonprofit org, like PBS. I should at least be allowed to comment in exchange.
