  • I hope we have another winter like this 2010/2011.

  • This is nothing new in the UK. The 80's saw some much larger snowfalls, and some during the 90's and I still got to work in my beat up old cars. The difference now is that the news programs are all waiting to report the "attrocious" and "treacherous" conditions. Notice how the reporters get to the worst locations on time for the bulletins ... can't be that bad then can it? It's a fookin joke man!

  • pussies i was on my bike :P

  • what we need is some one from scandinavia to tell the goverment what to do when it snows and well be fine.

Also some people can't drive. my dad lives about 20miles from work and always gets their in his old audi but his mate `can't get out of his drive' and lives close.

  • @GTAOggy Seriously, a few simple precautions and some careful driving and you're ok. Pair of cheap snow-chains or auto socks , a spade and some food/hot drinks etc, and you're good.

  • Snowtires anyone? This is embarrasing for someone who lives in snow countries such as sweden or norway etc. We have more than 10 times the snow. You dont even have enough snow for skiing

  • @Conway79

    well we did :)

  • why don't they use snow tires

  • Hows the weather in UK nowadays? Just wondering.. if its anything like that? :s

  • 4wd audis ftw

  • @pro151a It's the same in Canada. Seems that over the summer months, a lot of people forget how to drive in the snow. Almost 150 auto accidents during our first significant snowfall in my part of the province alone! It's the same thing every year the first time it snows. Stupid people will never learn.

  • I found this in the headlines :-

'Ministers have already asked the government's chief scientist to offer his advice.'

If he got any sense he'd tell em to F-Off. Like wait till your up to your neck in shit first then ask for advice. The country is run by experts and professionals? A little common sense would help and it's not like it only just started snowing - it's snowed for millenia on this planet. Use the politicians as shovels!
