Last night, angry students delivered a clear message to Cowen's brownshirts, the government and to the Irish people: No more Garda brutalising of people engaged in peaceful dissent. No more Bellinaboy's in Dublin. No more cutbacks, it's fightback time and the students are angrier than hell. No more distorted reporting and censorship by omission by the mainstream media. No more abandonment of students to twist in the wind by the USI leadership. Same as Abbas and the PA, Redmond and the USI "are a bunch of traitors to their own cause" (Meron Benvenisti). http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/apr/28/middle-east-meron-benvenisti-peac...

  • Congratulations to the students , I am an extremely proud Irishman watching the unfolding events from sunny brasil. I left Ireland last december. I bought my tickets after the country voted yes on the lisbon treaty, as i finally had given up hope on the government being on the people's side. It had started to get too bloody obvious that they were under the thumb of a bigger agenda. And i sensed things would get much worse. Thank you so much to everyone, but it seems like it might be too late now

  • @jimminycricket86 Along with other activist groups, Irish Friends of Palestine Against Lisbon fought Lisbon 2 but, unfortunately, the times weren't ready for a a-changin' but some of the then sheep who voted for that filthy document are now shaping up to rise like lions after slumber and this is good, very good - let us not forget; we are many, they are few.

  • Gary, what a prick!

  • @j0esamsam Same as Abbas and the PA, Redmond and the USI "are a bunch of traitors to their own cause" (Meron Benvenisti).
