Nice video, but it's ridiculas to know that nobody pays attention to trains and stop signs!
-
or anywhere for that matter.
leads to more accidents, etc.

It's a shame to see lines fall in to such a state of disrepair in NZ.

sat there for 15 mins waiting for her return from hautapu. ialmost 70% of the cars stopped.
Is funny to see the last 2, race the train and see who wins.

twice daily i think, once in the morning and once in the afternoon.. this is a far reach from my home patch, so i was lucky to catch her.

Nice! I think it's crazy how they think that one short horn blast is gonna stop more cars from crossing in front of the train.

@dwkcamman611 In theory the compulsory stop sign should do that haha..

Interesting piece of rail there!
So do stop signs mean something other than STOP in New Zealand?

@ccoraxfan it seems so.... perhaps it means 'drive faster' and no one told me haha

I often also see 1295 flying past to Te Awamutu and back, I work on Collins Road.
Flatmate was saying "oh yeah, I fly across that unused railway line at Matangi" We established it is in fact the Hautapu line... lol

this is about the only train slow enough to keep up with in the waikato .. everything else seems to haul ass.. especially the MP trains
