yes, they were all heroes. all 15 of them, but they were only showing 14 in this video. the 15th hero is razah(ritualist) and ones you hire in town are called henchmen. heroes can be obtained from quests and missions in all campaigns, however, henchmens are available in each and everytown but you don't get to tamper with their skills unlike heroes.

ArenaNet fucked up GW? ArenaNet CREATED Guild Wars. Nothing they have done has pissed off the players, the nerfs haven't been major, and Nightfall owned.
