I have earned dan ranking in both TKD and TSD and they are deffinately not the same. Just because they both use high kicks and originated in Korea does not make them the same. You will notice the TKD practitioner doesn't even keep their hands up in a guard position. Also the few turn kicks are spinning, not piviting kicks. TSD uses a lot more hand techniques than TKD as well.
