Imagine going to the park and hearing that guy yell "YOUR OUT OF THERE "

Absolutely, i hate watching my colleagues hold up two fists and say "full count". As a Wendelstedt graduate and a veteran umpire, the way i was taught and adhere to is to hold up three fingers on your left hand, and two fingers on your right, and say the count is three balls and two strikes loud and clear.

Indicator always in the left hand ONLY

The main reason why you cannot say "You're outta there!" is because what happens if the catcher drops the ball? Now the batter-runner is legally allowed to run to first (depending on how many outs there are and if first base is occupied), however the batter-runner will assume that the ball was caught and that he/she is out.

First, indicators are manufactured to conform to the left hand.
Second, how would it look when it goes flying across the field when you call a guy out?
