This collage is for the game show "Second Chance", on ABC from March 7,1977 to July 15,1977

The host was Jim Peck

This show was canceled after a 19-week run. It is believed that all of the episodes from this series have been destroyed. The only known episode to exist is the third pilot program, taped in 1976.

  • I dig that theme song! I also like the bass lines as well. Sounds like a Fender Precision Bass, but I could be wrong.

  • Its from Score Productions

  • Does anybody notice that the theme on here sounds a little faster than on the pilot episode.

  • SecondChance looked pretty much the same as Press Your Luck. Just 70s. HAHA

  • @southernfratdude same format, same company, so yea

  • It's a disappointment that not only did the show last for only 13 weeks, but the third pilot is the only known existing episode. :(

And from that pilot episode, it seemed like a good show too. What a shame. :(

  • @retroguy1976 That's because Second Chance was created by Bill Carruthers, who would go on to create Press Your Luck.

  • looks like press your luck lol

  • I'll take a second chance so I don't press my luck. Even for a game show theme, its a bit short, but still pretty groovy.

  • This to me can make a perfect Sonic BGM. In fact, this has the 16 bit groove going.

  • I blame the penny pinchers at ABC.

$20,000 limit! I can get more money from the government!

  • I heard that opening to i'm sure if he knew that the show would be erased he would have recorded more.

  • Because they did not want to spend the money to buy tapes and storage space so they erased the tapes.
