People (and I mean dunb people) often tend to resort to name-calling when they are clearly defeated by pure logic arguments.
-
What remarkable intelligence you demonstrate. I particularly like your spelling of "congratulations" and your continued insistence that calling someone "gay" and "fag" is automatically an insult.
My point was not to win an Internet argument. I originally pointed out quite politely, I believe, that a compound word is not two words. You responded by calling me a douchebag, which I thought was a wee bit uncalled for. You have continually responded by acting like a total twit.
-
I don't give a shit what you think and you aren't going to tell me anything I don't already know and I still think and will be calling you a douchebag, I had no idea before but now I'm amazed at how accurate I was originally.
just pretend you win fucko, congradulations you won an internet argument don't you feel all special and important now?.. stupid fag!
-
At the very least I might make you realize that name-calling and insults are perhaps not the best way to win your argument - especially after you've been shown to be wrong.
I actually can't believe you're trying to justify calling me a douchebag. More than that, you've doubled down on idiocy by now calling me a smart as punk.
-
perhaps it's just a lack of a sense of humor. regardless you're dragging out old arguments and I assume you're probably just some smart ass punk anyway so what do you expect to gain here?
-
My point was to illustrate that normal people in normal situations don't respond to an error correction by calling people "douchebag" or any other sort of epithet.
I realize that it's typical of retarded Internet users who can't formulate a coherent argument. Excuse me for trying to raise standards a little big. It seems beyond you.

I see well, this isn't a classroom nor a business meeting and if it was I'd probably be privilaged enough to know the sex of my douchebag advisary. This my homosexual friend is youtube and it's a fact that using terminology such as "ad hominem" and using business meetings and classrooms as typical settings whilst promoting cynical and judgemental attitude makes you figuratively gay regardless of your actual gender.
and besides it was probably extremely funny.. wouldn't know it was ages ago.
-
Well fine, if posting factual information in an attempt to correct something that is wrong is equal to calling someone a "douchebag" and calling another commenter who defends me my "gay lover" I'm hypocritical.
I suppose it's okay in a classroom to call someone a "douchebag" if they point out I've made an error. I suppose in a business meeting I can call two people who tell me I'm wrong they are gay lovers, even if I don't know they're of the same sex, which you didn't.
-
Kinda hypocritical don't you think? not much credit to a man with double standards and I never said I was perfect.
-
Takes a big man to make ad hominem attacks on someone through an Internet comment feature.
Good work.
this video is too long, i stopped watching like 3 seconds in.

umm...
a compound word is still a single word. check the linguistic definition of a 'compound' or 'compounding' on this.
every dictionary I've looked in 'birthday' is a single word. to be sure it is a word formed originally from two separate words but that doesn't mean it's two words.
that's like saying that armchair, handwriting, worksheet and pancake are not single words but rather two words each.
if you're going to be pedantic, it helps to actually know what the hell you're talking about.
