This is an episode in my ongoing documentary on roadside memorials. Featured are two anonymous memorials and one for Officer John Paul Miller. The memorials are located in the hills east of San Francisco, in the San Ramon valley. One is in the Morgan Territory, while the other two are on North Livermore Road near Highway 580.
I have removed dozens of these roadside memorials. Some were intricately carved or made of steel. I had to use a power winch for some of them. These memorials are considered by many states as being discarded or abandoned items. There is not a single roadside memorial remaining within 120 miles from my home. I have remove them all.

I totally agree with you...Roadside memorials should not be allowed. What would do if 438 people died in the same spot every year? That would be a ton of memorials. If you want to remember a loved one...go to their grave site and mourn....I dont want to mourn with you every time I drive down the street. Just like you wouldnt want to mourn for my father when he died.....And i wouldnt ask you to.
