texting & driving......... the drinking and driving of the 21st century!!!

travelling at 55 mph you cover app 30yards per second. how many seconds are needed to text? 4 or 5 at least that makes you travell about 100 to 150 yards without looking at the road. drivig a car is the most dangerous activity in the lives of most of the population, yet great number of people try to do everything but pay attention to the task at hand. seems that stupidity is greater than self preservation instinct.

@naster123 part of the problem is lack of concentration, and trying to look @ 2 things at a time doesnt work (there is a reason why fighter jets hav HUD's). not to mention that at the moment of texting you have poor car control. anyways statistics seem to indicate that texing while driving increases probability of an accident considerably...

6000 dead annually from texting driving accidents

And people are pissing and moaning about 4000 troops dead in 10 years of war. same time almost 200,000 Americans died from these accidents.
