Letha Hadady, author of FEED YOUR TIGER: If you have diabetes or are at risk, there are several supplements that are easy to use and find in north American healthfood stores. They include Gymnema sylvestra tablets. This leaf, originally from India, lowers blood sugar naturally and safely as it reduces craving for sweet foods. It tones and enhances the health of the pancreas. Stevia, the natural plant sweetener, can be added to teas and cooking.

Here is nopale cactus, which grows wild in the desert southwest, Mexico and throughout Latin America in dry climates. It also lowers blood sugar gradually and it tastes mild enough for the entire family. A popular way to fix it is pickled. • How do you cook it? or do you eat it raw???

  • Hi hi! Have you considered intellectus diet (do a search on google for intellectus424dietcom)? Ive heard some great things about it and my cooworker lost crazy amounts of weight with it.

  • I agree 100 percent with Cactus helping to control Diabetes. I was not aware of the Indian herb that you mentioned, and could not catch how to pronounce it. I also wonder why cactus helps lower blood sugar levels? The nutrition charts I read do not show any minerals or vitamins that other foods also contain, could it possibly be the active enzymes?

    Thank you in advance,

  • where can you find this doria maria product?

  • the singular of nopales is 'nopal', one nopal is not a nopale, it is a nopal. thanks (trivia)

  • i bought the nopale cactus and ate it raw along w/ fresh chopped tomatoes, green pepper, onions, lemon juice...like a salsa. it tastes great. i got mine from a mexican grocery already chopped. it not only lowers your blood sugar and controls diabetes, if you catch it in time, i believe it cures diabetes...along w/ severely reducing your sugar intake and eliminating corn syrup or fructose sweeteners and white bread. didn't know the pickles tasted good, thanks for that tip.

  • Great video and information. Thanks for sharing!!
