6950 on single mode is better in terms of price:performance. and if you want to do eyefinity.
GTX560TI.... physx anyone? but some may prefer nvidia CUDA for multimedia use...
-
Your all morons if you think the 6950 is "better" than the 560ti. What knowledge do you know other than reading pie charts and what not. What you own one of the two cards? Congrats Have fun with it. Rodney is giving his opinion on what is better. Deal with it. These charts you see mean jack shit. It all comes down to your system. CPU bottleneck like most of you retards have putting a core 2 duo with a GTX590. I see so many posts like that its moronic.

@CLICKMEYOULOSER I dont prefer either, I'l buy the best graphics card that fits within my budget at the time which I wish to purchase a new card. I dont go "huurrrr drivers" or "hurrrrr house fires" etc
The drivers are more or less equal in quality these days. Crysis did prefer nVidia, and BF3 prefered AMD. There really isnt a large difference between them though. The only reason someone should factor this in to what they buy is if they intend JUST to play that game or games.
-
@PSadvance You sound like a AMD fanboy. Those assholes ripped me off many times (ATI) . I really only trust Nvidia now. I can trust them due to their product life. Although I know AMD GPUS are stronger.
And trust me, Nvidia makes better drivers and they sponsor more. Even the HL2DM+HL2LC combo is. You get the standard pack with an AMD/ATI and you get the combo and an extra game with a Nvidia.
Even Crysis prefered Nvidia, they even made a promo video. Facts, not opinions.
-
@CLICKMEYOULOSER The difference is negligible, the amount of games affected is negligible and both companies "sponsor" games. Games dont "prefer" nVidia anymore than they "prefer" AMD.
-
@PSadvance Not everyone has English as their first language. And I still don't understand how my sentence did not make sense.
Devs optimize games, and their games prefer Nvidia. Doesn't that make sense or did you fail literacy in Middle School?
-
@CLICKMEYOULOSER You're calling people ignorant and then telling us devs optimize their games for nVidia, that games "prefer" nVidia. Irony?
-
@Ros3w00d i think you are ignorant. 6950 is in fact a better performer as well as lower power consumption vs the 560ti. however the 560ti 448 is a different story as it trades blows with the 6970/570 gtx. I say if you can get your hands on a sapphire toxic 6950 get it and unlock it as it has dual bios, if not, grab a 560 ti 448 classified. if you dont care about noise, get a 480 gtx as it is faster than both cards... gets hot as hell though but it is 250$ us
-
The 560Ti is 100 bucks cheaper here in New Zealand. Since the 6950 and the 560Ti are close to performance, it ain't worth $100 bucks for a small steroid boost.
And that most games prefer Nvidia. That's the reason why Rodney said the 560Ti is better for gaming, not in the fact that the 6950 is better in hardware specs. Damn you people in the comments are stupid and ignorant.
It isn't all about hardware, it's about the Devs and their optimization for a brand. *Cough* Nvidia *cough*
-
Nvidia may run some games better then a radeon and a radeon may run some games better then a nvidia. Funny huh?
-
@GotenSSJ1 I've actually seen the 560 Ti (stock) trade blows with the 6950 (stock) and even sometimes match the GTX 570 when the 560 Ti is massively overclocked (since it can overclock much better than the 6950).

unlock a 6950 to a 6970!
