I see in you a changed being
Hardened by the times
Awakened to the things you've seen
That brought you back to shine

Though the years were hard on you
And many times you cried
You are among a chosen few
You learned from all you tried

Of all that you have learned alone
And had to struggle through
The most important thing you've done
Is look inside you

Capture now your spirit flown
Hold it to you tight
Know you found it on your own
As was within your right

Learn that God is kind to those
Who struggle hard to be
The best of persons and of souls
Freely formed and fully free

Though your battles may have left you
Broken, hurt or scarred
Know that God will always love you
For just who you are.
