9466 returns to Mid-Norfolk. ~ July and August 2009 saw the third visit to the Mid-Norfolk Railway
of Dennis Howells' immaculately kept GWR 0-6-0 Pannier Tank 9466.
This sequence of shots are excerpts from footage filmed during August while this popular visitor hauled weekend service trains between Dereham and Wymondham Abbey.

  • Thank you Bill Im glad you enjoyed it. I spent several days filming at the Mid-Norfolk during August. Im still busy editing the footage. Its a pity the weather I enjoyed didnt extend over to the Cambrian coast for your sessions with 76079, some of that gloom reminded me of the morning we met at Sheringham during the "Thats Yer Lot" Gala! By the way will you be venturing over to the North Norfolk this weekend for the Gala?

  • Darn a typo!!!

  • That, Peter, is one of the most relaxed and profensionally filmed/edited pieces of work I have had the pleasure to see.

I'd give it 6 stars if I could. Keep up the good work.

  • OK!... Now youre making me blush :-))

  • Oh no no no Peter, definite PRO...and deservidly so...Bob

  • Hi Mike, Im glad you enjoyed the brief clip. Yes two very well-turned-out examples from different periods of the past. As a lad (after the withdrawal of steam services) I use to travel this line between Fakenham Norwich or Fakenham Wells-Next-The-Sea usually onboard a Metro Cammell 101 or Derby lightweight. Happy days Many thanks for your kind comments, Star rating and subscription. :-) Peter.

  • Thanks Bob; youre to kind! ... Id rank myself as an improving amateur! Glad you enjoyed it though. Many thanks Peter. :-)

  • Excellent compilation Peter 5* That 10 minutes flashed by, and the loco looked immaculate - so did the DMU for that matter!

    Mike
