Your post reminded me of the time I was in my caseworker's office. I broke down because the full realization of how sick I was hit me. I remember sobbing in her office. My shame was immense. Whew, this just brought back some memories!
Some people have a drug induced problem but are diagnose with Bipolar, the best thing one can do is take the situation serious and do not do drugs around the person and provide a stable living environment with no noise. Watch how much medication they take because they can abuse the drugs as well.
i lived my dad who wasn't diagnosed till i was 19. My dad is great now hes been on treatment for 7 years. he feels better in him self and not so out of control. Im a child of a Bipolar sufferer and as such have faced the fear regarding my dad's illness and my own mental health. Thanks Mark for helping get this illness out of the taboo and into the public's attention.
My cousin's wife took her life because of this disorder-leaving behind her daughter. I also have another cousin who had this and it's extremely hard to see someone deal with such a disorder.
thank u
