Across America, from Washington State to Nevada, Georgia and even Florida, homeless advocacy groups and city agencies are reporting the biggest rise in homeless encampments in a generation, as the US economy takes a spectacular plunge.

Until people realize that the strength of our economy depends on our ability to manufacture items competitively for export, this is what we will have. I'm a young manufacturing worker, and I had to leave my state to find work, but many have decided to stay put and pursue college. These folks should be aware of how many white collar jobs depend on a strong blue collar workforce. If one sinks, we all sink. I guess we can give the whole service economy thing a try... Would you like fries with that?

No manufacturing jobs in America effects many jobs in America. As an assembly worker, it is much more difficult find work any more. Too much is being out sourced to other countries and that is why many are homeless and out of work.
