We are water cutting brass and steel sheets to make a Jack 5" Gauge live steam model, lots of technologies are used to make parts this machine uses water and ruby dust to cut or score the materials. The Machine spec is:
Abrasive Waterjets will cut just about any material from plastic to hard tool steel.
Most materials up to 50mm thick can be cut, and some materials 100mm.
Parts sizes up to 2540mm x 1400mm.
Cutting is within a tolerance of +- 0.127mm.
A choice of five finishes, which can vary within sections of a part.
Drawings can be accepted in .dxf format.
Other Cad formats and G-Codes can be translated.
We are happy to cut single items, short run prototypes or repeat multiple batches.

great video, I didnt realise how big the factory was, I always thought Maxitrak was a home run bussiness. Nothing on the scale of having such large machines etc. I would love to see more of your factory and the different aspects if you have more time. Thanks for the upload!

I'm going to do a whole set of clips showing all the different technologies we use, so there will be more! in the fullness of time I'll do machining, boiler making, fabrication, painting & lining, and probably loco maintenance!
