This was Fall 1985. In Fall 1986 he was married to Pam and Dorian was fighting her way out of Statesville Prison.
I have to admit the name Dorian Lord Buchannan would have been a great addition to OLTL

@80sOLTL that's because OLTL wasn't giving him any screen time. So Phil demanded he be on more or he'd leave and Abc didn't budge. Abc sure was stupid.

The only difference between Asa Buchanan and J.R Ewing, was Asa was older, taller and he married his conquests, while J.R just bedded em. I miss that ol' coot.

This was Fall 1986. Not sure what happened that it didn't take off but agree it would have been fascinating to watch. These are two of my favorites characters from OLTL.
