A DOPE GOLDEN AGE JAM FROM HIP HOP PIONEER SPOONIE GEE. "TAKE IT OFF" WAS RECORDED IN 1987 AND PRODUCED BY VETERAN HIP HOP PRODUCER MARLEY MARL.
STRANGELY,THIS ORIGINAL VERSION DID NOT APPEAR ON HIS ALBUM "THE GODFATHER OF RAP",IT WAS REPLACED BY A REMIX (THAT I NEVER DID LIKE). THANK GOODNESS FOR 12" SINGLES!!
fuk i love this song i wish i was in the mid 80's for hip hop but my generation is just fuking garbage

Got D Biggest smile on my face! CLASSIC!
Spoony Gee [used to spell it out S.P.O.O.N. and Y] mayb d label spelt it wrong to begin with?!? Anyway, I just wanted to share how this particular song had been embeded in me since I was 9/10 years old.
And as fate would have it, I actually performed this song to Spoonie in 93 on Riker's Island of all places. He came into my hse (adolesent) and I didnt even know who he was, LOL... I love this song, a lyrical visual aid story rap. Birthed d mc in me : )
