Mercury Sable. While some might see the Mercury lineup as warmed-over Fords, the brand has gone to additional lengths to differentiate its cars and SUVs from their Ford-brand siblings recently. An example of that is the Mercury Sable, which offers a different interior and a mildly re-styled exterior to distinguish itself from the well-regarded Ford Taurus with which it shares a platform.

Welcome to our comprehensive Kelley Blue Book review of the Mercury Sable.

While it might be more than a little reminiscent of the Taurus, the Mercury Sable has a lot to offer those looking for a family-friendly sedan. Inoffensive styling, available all-wheel drive and a cavernous interior make the Sable one of the most accommodating sedans sold today. • 263hp is very respectable for a V6

  • I am very astonished as to why Ford faded out the Mercury brand. I've had my Montego for awhile now and absolutely love it.

  • @TheNewMrCool Yep mercury was the "caddilac" of the ford industry. But actualy mercury no longer exists.

  • Finaly not that james bond shit that keeps popping up out of nowhere

  • I miss my sable fuck u ford :'(

  • @MrJ567 NO! NOT THE GRAND MARQUIS! :(

  • 2010 ? :(

  • Mercury used to be one of the absolute best brands around. I don't know why Ford is just letting it wither away like this. =/ Sable is gone, and now they're talking about killing off the Mountaineer and the Grand Marquis.

  • Considering the 2010 Taurus won't have a Mercury brother, I'm curious to see just what Ford has in store for Mercury.

They ought to be what they always were, added luxury and lusty performance. That's what Mercury made its reputation on, much like GM's Buick.
