SOUND Already post but not THE video!!

"My idea, then, was simple: Let Aretha be Aretha. Let her be comfortable. Let her play PIANO. Let her develop the rhythms, horn riffs, and backing vocals that will open her heart and expose her soul. Let her go and go she did (...) She instinctively knows the difference between sentimentality and sensitivity (...) I'm grateful to her. WE ALL ARE"

  • Soul just overflows from this Woman of Music and Song...she could sing the Alphabet and have a crowd in tears and jumping with joy!

  • Aretha Franklin is the ONLY one who can SING this song LIKE THIS! And she looks so beautiful in this video! Thank you very much for sharing this gem with us.

  • Aretha and Donnie Simpson Classic Detroit in it's hey day...

  • @angeljX3 She doesn't just play the piano, she is one of the greatest gospel blues/pianists of her era. Who do you think was playing piano on all those classics she was knocking out at Atlantic? She's been playing by ear since she was 4 years old, and can play in any style, but she is a master at Gospel and Blues piano styles. Also check out her columbia work to hear her play Jazz and show tunes.

  • It's not weird it brings you to tears its just that beautiful!!!!!
