The landing gear being down the whole time probably contributed to the crash.

Man, it looked and sounded like it had engine issues from takeoff. Too bad, so sad... :(

Was this thing not fitted with twinsync? Was the pre-flight tuning missed? Both motors were at different revs for all but one of the passes - so sad to see such a bird go in. Personally I'd have hit the kill switch after the one engine all but quit and at least tried a dead-stick. New undercart and bottom skinning beats re-kitting in my book.

The pilot lost control of one of the engines. Possibly a throttle servo.
